The West Parry Sound Health Center provides quality health care services to the development community in the 240,000 ft2 facility. Services include a 24hr emergency room, numerous specialist clinics, and a rehabilitation center. The hospital also runs multiple nursing stations in outlying areas.
The Lakeland Long Term Care Facility is located within the West Parry Sound Health Center. The 90 bed facility provides seniors with 24hr personal or medical care from professionally trained staff including Registered Nurses (RNs) and attending physicians. The home-like atmosphere also offers a variety of recreational and dining options. Other long term residential and care providers located within the community include Belvedere Heights, Serenity Senior’s Residence and the Friends.
Belvedere Heights is a local home for the aged providing standard, semi-private and private accommodations with trained and dedicated staff providing needs-based assistance. Community support services for the aged, including meals on wheels, transportation and friendly visiting programs, are also available through Belvedere Heights.
Serenity Senior’s Residence offers a monitored housing option for seniors. The facility provides three daily meals, planned entertainment activities, and weekly house keeping services. Beauty, recreational and specialized health clinic facilities are also available onsite.
The Friends is a community service organization designed to provide for the long term care needs of adults with physical or mental disabilities. To encourage independent living the organization offers various services including accessible permanent and transitional housing, attendant services, personal support and homemaking services.
