The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. is a partnership between the City of North Bay, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry, and various community partners. The office assists in the start-up of new and the expansion of existing businesses.

The NOHFC Young Entrepreneur program aims to mobilize a new generation of entrepreneurs and community builders in the North, securing a more prosperous future for tomorrow’s northern families and workers.

Through this program the NOHFC provides financial assistance to the private sector to help bring new jobs and economic prosperity to the North.

If so, the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is your ‘go to’ resource and we can help you bring a business idea to life! From pre-launch to growth and expansion, CYBF supports young entrepreneurs throughout the life-cycle of their businesses by providing pre and post-launch coaching, financing, mentoring and business resources.

By helping business owners work through their ideas and map out a plan for success, the Ontario Self Employment Benefit (OSEB)/Self Employment Assistance (SEA) Program has helped hundreds of businesses navigate through the first year of business start up.
If you are unemployed, meet certain criteria and would like to start your own business, the OSEB/SEA program offers financial and business support for up to 42 weeks of business start up.
Participants who are accepted into the program develop and implement their business plan to start and operate their businesses. During the program, they receive financial assistance, business advice and support through seminars, workshops, coaching and mentoring sessions to help them be successful. Participants also meet other business owners and benefit from mutual support and networking.
NECO is an independent, not-for-profit corporation supported by the Government of Canada, governed by volunteers in partnership with FedNor / Industry Canada, which encourages the development and diversification of the local economy. NECO CFDC's jurisdiction extends to Novar in the South, Tilden Lake in the North, Mattawa in the East and Loring/Port Loring in the West.
