Parry Sound Area Development Community

Carling Township, the Municipality of McDougall, the Township of McKellar, the Town of Parry Sound, and Seguin Township are independent jurisdictions but believe appropriate economic development in one municipality is beneficial for all three. As such, they build economic capacity cooperatively as the Parry Sound Area Development Community.

The Parry Sound Area Development Community is located on the eastern shores of Georgian Bay, a UNESCO designated World Biosphere Reserve. Equally pristine forests, inland lakes and distinctive geology form a rich natural environment which is integrated throughout the entire community. An inclusive and inviting community culture compliments this wholesome and nurturing atmosphere. Complete with desirable regional amenities, including education and health care facilities, the Parry Sound Area Development Community offers a quality of life only available City Free.

The Parry Sound Area Development Community is also a sound prospect for business development, expansion or investment. Recent population shifts, construction and key industry growth continues to create business opportunities. These opportunities are facilitated by a range of site options, the community's ‘One-Stop-Shop’ business approach and business support networks. There are a variety of sites options throughout the community, as well as vacancies in both of the community’s serviced business parks. The ‘One Stop Shop’ strategy involves consolidating necessary practices to simplify and streamline the business development, expansion or investment process. As well, one designated contact will provide assistance and guidance throughout this entire process. Community committees and organizations are also in place to ensure satisfaction and success. All opportunities are available without development charges.
Ideally located, the Parry Sound Area Development Community is little more than two hours north of Toronto, and connected via Highway 400. Using this major four lane corridor, community residents and businesses can easily access and benefit from large nearby markets. Additional local waterway, airway, and railway services create a transportation network proficient in personal and freight movement to and from provincial, national and international destinations.
The high quality of life, promising business opportunities, facilitated development process, ideal location and comprehensive transportation network available in the Parry Sound Area Development Community, make it the perfect community for your family and business to grow with.
